Crunchy Granola



Amazing granola, full of flavour and crunchiness. Ever thought it was hard to make homemade granola? well, let me tell you - it's not! And making granola at home allows you to make a pure version of granola without all the extra (nasty) ingredients and sweeteners that you usually find in store bought granolas. I will give you two different variations of granola down below. The first recipe is with cinnamon, cardamom and maple syrup and the other one is for all you chocolate lovers out there!



Ingredients:

4 dl whole rolled oats

1 dl sunflower seeds

2 dl chopped almonds

1 dl shredded coconut

3 tbsp coconut oil (melted)

1 tsp vanilla extract

1-3 tbsp maple syrup ( you choose how sweat you want it to be)

1 tbsp honey

3 tsp cinnamon

3 tbsp cardamom

1/2 tsp salt

3 tbsp cacao ( for chocolate version)


Directions:

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix well with your hands so everything is moist from the coconut oil.


FOR CHOCOLATE VERSION:

mix 3 tbsp into the mixture. ( I took half of the mixture and mixed it with 3 tbsp cacao and added a bit more honey to it and the other half I left as it was).


Spread the granola on to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper ( you want it to be a thin layer).


Bake for 15 min on 150°c until the granola is slightly golden.


Let it cool. Store in airtight container.

Ps. The granola may not seem crunchy and crispy when you take it out of the oven, but don't you worry! Let it cool of, and that's when the magic happens :)
