This is the same recipe as "my favourite banana bread" but with a twist of chocolate. Banana & Chocolate = true match.


4 ripe bananas (the browner the better)

1 dl melted coconut oil

1 tsp baking powder

A pinch of baking soda

2-3 tbsp honey/maple syrup or other natural sweetener of choice

A pinch of salt

2 chia egg (1 chia egg = 1 tbsp chia seeds that sits in a glass of 2 tbsp water for about 5 minutes)

4 1/2 dl glutenfree flour

2 tsp vanilla powder ( This just gives that extra yumminess, but it is absolutely fine without it too)

2 tbsp cacao

1 tbsp carob (optional)


Blend it all together in a food prosessor, starting with bananas, melted coconutoil & honey. Mix the dry ingredients separately , and then mix it in the food processor with the other stuff. Add vanilla in the end, and lastly the chia egg.

Now add 2 tbsp of cacao (and the carob) to 1/2 dl hot water. Stir it around.

Take out half of the banana bread mix from the food processor and blend the other half with the cacao (and maybe add some more vanilla to the chocolate mix)

Add the chocolate filling and the "normal" filling alternately into a loaf tin. And swirl it around a bit with a fork for a marble effect.

Bake in the oven on 175°c for 30-40 min until golden and not sticky on the inside.

Enjoy with your favourite nutbutter on top and some fresh berries.
